The psalmist says in Psalms 34:1 “I will bless the Lord at all times His praise shall continually be in my mouth”. This implies that regardless of what I am experiencing at the time, at every opportunity I will praise no matter what. This has been my resolve since that understanding was birthed in my spirit.
Being actively involved in church work through thick and thin it has definitely paid to be a worshipper; as it is often said worship is a lifestyle; it is not something we only engage in on Sunday mornings. For me personally my relationship with God grew and out of these experiences I have with God I can encourage and pray with someone else. It has made me more confident to trust God and know that He is faithful. This enables me to draw others along with me to make this awareness a reality in their own lives.
It has been an absolute pleasure being able to partake in the project of writing the book “Worship – The God Experience“. Oh the days of little beginnings! I remember sitting at my computer desk saying to myself ‘you cannot take the people of God where you have never been yourself and you cannot tell someone of the experiences of worship if you are not first a worshipper yourself‘.
I wrote from my heart what I felt God was saying, it is exciting to note, because I had to preach this article to myself first then to the church, but I know it is only the tip of the iceberg of the many dimensions of worship in other words we cannot say we have arrived. However as we continue, consistently, faithfully, God helping us, walking in love and obedience He reveals Himself in the atmosphere of worship.
God bless you.
